 Therapeutic Counselling

Welcome,

You may experience a period  when things feel overwhelming. In such circumstances, it can be challenging to find the right support.

You may:

  • be struggling with life transitions, anxiety or low mood

  • feel isolated or lonely

  • feel worthless

  • feel overstimulated in the world or with people

During these times I strive to provide therapeutic mental health support to my clients.

Qualifications and Experience:

I have  a CPCAB  (Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body) Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling.

I am a Registrered   Member of the BACP, (The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) a governing body that oversees the work of counsellors in the UK. I adhere to their Ethical Framework and I am subject to their complaints procedure.  I am committed to my Continuous Professional Development to provide the best possible support to my clients.

I am fully insured and hold  an enhanced  DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. I am also qualified to work online securely.

During my Diploma Course placement   I worked for a Counselling Centre in SW London for almost 2 years providing talking therapy to adult clients online and in-person, too. Since then I have started  my private practice.

Practicalities:

  • I offer talking  therapy sessions in English and Hungarian. (English is my second language)  to adult clients on a weekly basis  remotely  via  Skype on Tuesday-Friday  between 9.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m.; and in-person on Saturday a.m. in Tooting SW17, London. This is a  wheelchair accessible building.

  • Tue. sessions are delivered from a therapy room in Clapham, London, SW4 7NQ.

  • Sessions are 50-60 minutes long and weekly sessions are recommended, especially for the first 4-6 weeks.

  • Weekly sessions can be both short term (up to 12 sessions) and long term, open-ended  (12+ sessions) depending on the clients' needs.

  • Therapeutic goals are agreed on at the beginning  of therapy and then reviewed regularly depending on the changing needs of the clients.

  • I am available for client work about  46 weeks a year from Tuesdays to Saturdays.

  • I  have regular supervision to ensure that  I am working ethically and in the best interest of my clients.

  • Occasionally, I might refer clients to specialist counselling services or to a trusted colleague in case another type of support seems to be more beneficial.
